Academic Integrity

Plagiarism Verification & Policy Guidelines

Structured guidelines, similarity threshold limits, and verified workflows to ensure all manuscripts, dissertations, and project reports conform to academic ethics.

Quick Actions

Reports are typically processed and emailed back to the author within 2 business days.

Essential Submission Guidelines

Mandatory prerequisites every author must satisfy prior to submitting any document.

Check Limit

Two Checks Maximum

Each manuscript can be evaluated at most two times. Utilize the primary diagnostic report to revise citations and paraphrasing thoroughly before requesting the final certification check.

Authorization

Guide Approval is Mandatory

For all undergraduate and postgraduate students, written or email authorization from your designated faculty guide is required before initiating any formal plagiarism screening.

Affiliation

SRKREC Affiliation

For all faculty, research scholar, and student papers, at least one contributing author must list SRKR Engineering College (Autonomous) as their primary institution affiliation.

Screening & Certification Process

Follow this 6-stage sequential pipeline from preliminary draft to final department clearance.

1. Draft Complete Manuscript

Assemble the complete article including title, abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, references, and appendices. Ensure references follow standard citation formats (IEEE, Springer, APA).

2. Guide Review & Approval

Present the finalized draft to your project coordinator or faculty supervisor. Confirm that experimental figures, literature citations, and tables are fully verified.

3. Submit via Official Portal

Submit your document (DOCX or PDF format) through the official Microsoft Form intake portal.

4. Diagnostic Report Generation (~2 Working Days)

The CITI evaluation cell processes the manuscript using institutional Turnitin / Urkund engines and transmits an authenticated PDF report showing similarity percentage and highlighted sources.

5. Systematic Revision & Paraphrasing

Carefully analyze flagged passages. Paraphrase original prose, remove duplicate phrases, cite quoted excerpts, and verify that overall similarity conforms to journal or university limits (typically ≤ 10%–15%).

6. Final Verification & Guide Sign-Off

Submit revised manuscript for the 2nd (final) verification if necessary, and obtain the certified similarity certificate for final thesis or conference submission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common queries regarding file formats, high similarity percentages, and exceptions.

What file formats and sizes are supported?

+
We accept Microsoft Word (.docx) and unlocked searchable PDF (.pdf) documents up to 40 MB. Scanned image-only PDFs cannot be processed because text extraction is impossible.

My diagnostic report shows high similarity. What should I do?

+
Do not panic. Examine the color-coded matching sources. Re-write methodology descriptions in your own words, replace block text quotations with precise syntheses, and double check that all bibliographic entries are enclosed in proper reference blocks.

Can I request more than two screening attempts?

+
No. To prevent repository saturation and ensure serious revision, each paper is strictly restricted to two official checks. Consult with your research guide before requesting your second check.

Are bibliography and quotes excluded automatically?

+
Yes. Institutional filters automatically exclude standard references/bibliography sections and recognized in-line quotation marks, provided standard formatting conventions are adhered to.

Best Practices & Department Contacts

Helpful guidelines for writing original manuscripts and getting support.

Recommended Practices

  • Use Reference Managers: Utilize Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to manage and format in-text citations uniformly.
  • Paraphrase Actively: Summarize core concepts in your distinct academic voice rather than swapping individual synonyms.
  • Check Self-Plagiarism: Even your own previously published papers must be cited properly to prevent self-overlap.
  • Acknowledge Sources: Clearly credit diagrams, algorithms, and benchmark datasets obtained from third-party repositories.
